The summer of 2014

The summer of 2014 was a dismal failure filled with tenants who hate her, a husband who ended up with puncture wounds all over his little body by the time his doctors finished surgery, and ONE trip by boat to Ganges Harbour. Now THAT’s geriatric boating! Except that the wind came up and she was on anchor watch, and. . . Also, the teachers went on strike. Catherine waved placards for awhile until her feet gave out, then she was given a cashier job at the Duncan Salvation Army Thrift Store. Bless their hearts, they said they’d keep her until the strike was done, and they did! Paid for boat parts.
